Life Update

I now live five minutes outside of Falls Church, VA. I have a clear line-of-sight to the Potomac and Washington DC from my balcony. I work in Alexandria, VA for a contracting firm (ICF International) serving the Defense Contract Management Agency, a branch of the Department of Defense. It's a software development job in Java, Coldfusion, and Oracle (and all the sundry things that stand between, such as Hibernate and Faces). A good professional decision.

I adopted the two kittens we found in the Phi Tau basement the last few weeks of school. Phizz and Barnard. They're incorrigible.

Just so you all know where I'm at, in lieu of knowing where I'm headed...

Michael Brecker passed away this past Saturday, the 13th.

For the uninitiated, here is but a glimpse of his immense talent:

Ambiguity and I

I spent the latter half of the week at Purdue, speaking with quite a few communications people, and now I don't know what to do with myself :-)  I am quite pleased with what I've heard, and I have a lot of hope for the coming year.  If I had known what I know now several years ago, I might have focused on some journalism experience...

Strange, I know...

You Are 25 Years Old

Under 12: You are a kid at heart. You still have an optimistic life view - and you look at the world with awe.

13-19: You are a teenager at heart. You question authority and are still trying to find your place in this world.

20-29: You are a twentysomething at heart. You feel excited about what's to come... love, work, and new experiences.

30-39: You are a thirtysomething at heart. You've had a taste of success and true love, but you want more!

40+: You are a mature adult. You've been through most of the ups and downs of life already. Now you get to sit back and relax.

Hrm...

You scored as English. You should be an English major! Your passion lies in writing and expressing yourself creatively, and you hate it when you are inhibited from doing so. Pursue that interest of yours!

Okay, I realize I haven't updated in awhile, and a post without content is hardly a post at all, but I really would like to put up my pricing chart... ignore it unless you came here from the link.

In the beginning...

Coming in 2004 (or whenever I find time)
A weblog so shocking,
so captivating,
so off-the-wall,
that you'll wonder why you even bother to read it at all.

Or maybe just more of me ranting.

Prepare yourself :-P
